Still Here

Against the wall, this my back
Is on a wall,
The wall of a graying castle
Filled with the stench of memories
Hanging on every breath I draw

Webs
Spiders’ webs blurring my sight
But there's a voice they cannot distort
It’s the voice that calms me
The one I always long to hear

Your voice
Takes me to the other world
The world that no words, have labeled yet
Making me blissful
That you are still here

Unbreakable

She looks back at the shuttered dreams,

Folds gradually creeping into her surface

And the image staring back at her in the mirror

She does not recognize this face

This is what she has been reduced to

While the man, this man she gave her life to

Is on globetrotting missions with his new catch

“Does she know what she’s in for?” begs the question

Four lives she brought fourth,

Raised two of them to independent age

Two still looking up to her

She is their ma’ and pa’

Thirty ages on, she looks back, four lives,

1,2,3 and Mark the only son, a purpose to face each day

The strength within, can shake the universe

It’s her unbreakable being that propels her to splendor
